A huge thank you to all of our drivers who donated to this year’s annual giving campaign. We are so amazed that not only do you support fellow members of your community through rides and food deliveries, but also through your generous financial donations to Neighbor Ride.

We are truly blessed to receive such wonderful support from our volunteers. We are extremely happy and proud to report:

Our support from drivers, clients, families of clients and “Friends of NR” increased by 22%; and 37% when you include car donations through our new program.
We also saw a 24% increase in the number of donors contributing to this year’s campaign.

This is even more incredible when you consider last year’s campaign saw a 20% increase over the year prior. PLEASE continue to spread the word about our new Car Donation Program – see bottom of this newsletter for more information.

Volunteer Survey feedback

Thank you to all of our volunteers who participated in the recent driver survey. Your feedback is appreciated and helps Neighbor RIde enhance the volunteer experience and plan for the future.

With just shy of 100 responses, we heard:

99% feel Neighbor Ride has responded well to the pandemic.
Over 90% like the addition of delivery services with partners like the Food Bank, Loan Closet, and others.
86% have returned to driving (passengers or deliveries) since the onset of the pandemic.

COVID- 19 Precaution Reminders

All drivers and clients should continue to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. Sitting in the rear seat is at the driver’s prerogative and can be based on passenger mobility issues and vehicle size. Neighbor Ride still has a large supply of disposable masks. Please feel free to stop by the office if you would like to pick some up. Encourage clients looking for booster shots to call the office.

End of year tax documents

Volunteer mileage deductions can be reported on both your federal and state tax returns. You can run an excel report with total mileage from your portal page. Go to Ride History, put in the 2021 dates, click on export to excel. Please give the office a call if you have any questions.
