To our amazing volunteers,

You are there every day for our Neighbor Ride clients keeping them connected to both better health and the community they, like us, call home. Because of you, our older adult neighbors have remained connected to the people and activities that add meaning to their lives. For this we are so THANKFUL for your volunteer service to Neighbor Ride.

April is National Volunteer Month and we want to celebrate YOU and recognize the vital role YOU play in strengthening Howard County’s older adult population!

We thank you for your dedication – you are the strong, unwavering heartbeat of Neighbor Ride and we hope to see you out on the roads or at the exciting events we have planned for you during April! Mark your calendars for the many events detailed in this The Driver APPRECIATION EDITION

P.S. – April is also a great time to spread the word about the impact your volunteerism with Neighbor Ride is having and encourage others to get involved – be it with Neighbor Ride or the other wonderful organizations in our community. See below for information about our 25 New Driver Challenge

The Orioles have donated free tickets to us in honor of your service.

Join us at Camden Yards on Thursday, April 3rd at 1:05pm.

We will offer 2 tickets to the first 20 folks who reach out to us by emailing: volunteer@neighborride.org.

We kindly ask that the NR volunteer attend the game with a guest and not to give both tickets away to family or friends.

Volunteer Appreciation Event

Join the staff, board members and other volunteers at

Cedar Lane Park on Tuesday, April 29th from 10-12 to celebrate.

Stony Man Coffee and Donuts will return to provide tasty treats.

We will be announcing our 2025 Hall of Fame Inductees!!

25 New Driver Challenge

Please join Neighbor Ride Board Members in our 25 Driver Referral Challenge during National Volunteer Month to encourage more people from our community to volunteer with Neighbor Ride. Board Members will be found with Neighbor Ride signs in their yards, magnets on their cars and much more as we spread the word on the impact of volunteering with Neighbor Ride.

We have added a “Referred By” field to the Volunteer Registration Page on our website and will have drawings at the end of the month to give away Bingo Tickets and a grand prize gift card.
