Our very own Program Manager Andrew Burkowske and Volunteer Driver Charlie Riesz are taking on representatives from 4 other charities in the Rotary Club of Columbia/Patuxent’s first-ever Oyster Shuck for Charity – being held from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, March 26th at Hudson Coastal. There are two great ways that you can join in the fun and help our team be shuck-essful while raising money for Neighbor Ride:

NOTE: 100% of funds contributed in this way will go to Neighbor Ride.
Purchase a Ticket(s): Come cheer Andrew and Charlie on while enjoying champagne, beer, wine, appetizers, and, of course, oysters. Tickets are $50/per person and money raised from sales will go into a general fund that provides support for lots of local charities. Tino’s Italian Bistro will once again offer a variety of delicious dinner items for purchase at the event. Drinks and baked goods will also be sold.

If you have spare, unopened bottles that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the Neighbor Ride office or contact Colleen at ckonstanzer@neighborride.org to arrange a pick-up.

LOOKING DOWN THE ROAD… An Event to Celebrate You!
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month and lots of exciting things will be happening!! Rather then our traditional gathering, we’ve decided to shake things up this year and we are so looking forward to appreciating all that you do with a variety of unique events!
- You might be spotted by a roving team of enthusiastic folks who will be out and about looking for and delivering prizes to volunteers who are on the road in cars displaying Neighbor Ride magnets.
- You might be rewarded for being an Early Bird, Night Owl or Long-Distance driver.
- You will receive an invitation to a fun and informal Volunteer Celebration featuring a Dessert truck (yum!). The event is scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, May 11 at Kittamaqundi Community Church in Columbia from 1p-3p. Special Thanks to our Volunteer Program sponsor, BWFA!
